Uninstall .NET Framework v 1.1 including earlier hotfix (which probably is the cause for the problem) from Add/Remove programs. 2. If you have a language package for v 1.1, uninstall that. 3. Restart and go to WUP, which will install .NET Framework v 1.1 in your language. 4. Return to WUP, which will install KB953297. 5. Restart and go to WUP again and KB953297 will be installed once more(!) 6.Restart and go to WUP again just to see that there is nothing more to install. 7. Done.
